Perennials
Native to high latitudes and high elevations of the northern hemisphere. Choice plants for rock gardens. Evergreen or partially so; somewhat shrubby at base, forming a carpet of leafy, creeping stems. Oblong leaves look like little oak leaves. Bloom from late spring into summer, bearing shiny white or yellow flowers that resemble strawberry blossoms. Ornamental seed capsules with silvery white tails follow the blooms.
