A 50-ft. tree in New Zealand, but often seen as 10-ft.-high shrub of equal spread. Leaves roundish, to 4 in. long. With regular moisture, it can reach 8 ft. in 3 years. Dense, compact screen or windbreak. Fine beach plant, good espalier.
