Hibbertia
Dilleniaceae
Evergreen, Shrubs, Vines
Most of these evergreen shrubs and vines are native to Australia, including those described here. All types have bright yellow flowers resembling wild roses.

Fast-growing vine climbs by twining stems to 8–10 ft. In ideal climate, foliage is handsome all year—narrow, waxy dark green leaves to 3 in. long. Blooms from spring into early fall. Good for small garden areas if trained on trellis or against low fence; can be grown as ground cover. Do any significant thinning in late fall or winter; remove errant stems as needed during bloom time. Recovers quickly from light frosts.
