From Southern Europe. Compact growth to 1 1/2–2 ft. tall, 3 ft. wide. Narrow, glossy dark green leaves emerge from woody-based stems; foliage has pungent scent. Profusion of dark blue flower spikes throughout summer and into autumn; not a dramatic show but pleasant looking. Selections with white, pink, or lavender blooms exist.
