Native to South Africa. Reedlike plant to 6 ft. tall and 4 ft. wide; looks something like a big, feathery, clumping horsetail (Equisetum hyemale). Erect or slightly arching, cane-like stems hold whorls of long, thin leaves at evenly spaced nodes. Good in large pots.
