Sometimes referred to as holly fern. Usually seen in its variety ­‘Variegata’, growing 10 to 16 in. tall and twice as wide. Fronds are broadly triangular, and once-divided, the divisions deeply cut. Each division is marked by a yellow stripe along its full length. Evergreen where winters are warm; deciduous in frosty regions.
