Blackberry, ‘Prime Jan’

Everbearing Blackberry
Rosaceae
Edible fruit, Perennials

Everbearing. Erect, very thorny canes can grow 10 ft. in a season, but are commonly controlled by pruning and trellising. Roots are perennial, but canes are biennial. This variety bears on new canes in late summer and second-year canes in spring, producing heavy crops of medium-size, sweet-tart berries, one in early summer and one in early fall. It can be cut to the ground each winter, resulting in a single late crop the following season.
