Resembling a pincushion full of needles, each Scabiosa flower has stamens that protrude well beyond the curved flower heads. Bloom begins in midsummer, continues until frost if flowers are deadheaded or cut regularly. Good in mixed or mass plantings. Excellent cut flowers.
