Thujopsis dolabrata

False Arborvitae, Deerhorn Cedar, Hiba Cedar
Cupressaceae
Evergreen, Trees

Native to Japan. Pyramidal, coniferous, often shrubby; very slow growing to 30–50 ft. tall and 10–20 ft. wide. Foliage resembles that of Thuja, but sprays are coarser, glossy, and branching in a staghorn effect. Best where summers are cool and humid. Plant as a single tree where foliage details can be appreciated. Slow growth makes it a good container plant.
