Compact, bushy, to 1 ft. high and wide. Blooms from summer into fall; flowers look like miniature gloxinias (Sinningia), have stamens arranged in wishbone shape. Species has pale lavender blossoms with deeper purple markings and bright yellow throats; a white- flowered form is also sold.
