LYSIMACHIA

Most are vigorous perennials capable of spreading beyond their allotted space, especially if they receive plenty of water. Police them to be sure they don’t invade choicer plantings. Useful for naturalizing at woodland edges or in barely maintained areas. Blossoms are yellow or white; they appear in summer.

Lysimachia punctata

Native to Central Europe and Asia Minor. Grows to 3 ft. tall and spreads by underground stems of 2 ft. or more. Leaves are 3 in. long. Inch-wide yellow flowers appear in summer.
