Coleostephus myconis

Annuals, Flowers

This delightful native of southern Europe blooms in spring, when broad-rayed, buttery yellow daisies 3/4 in. across rise above 6–8-in.-wide mats of bright green, fleshy foliage. Blooms best in cool weather; usually sold in fall, winter, or early spring in cell packs or pots. In Alaska, blooms all summer until frost. In cool-summer/mild-winter climates, plants may live over a second year. ‘Moonlight’ has lemon yellow flowers.
