CYRTOMIUM

These are coarse-textured but handsome ferns with firm-textured, glossy fronds 2–3 ft. long. Provide soil with high organic content. Do not plant these ferns too deeply.

Cyrtomium falcatum

Native to Asia, South Africa, Polynesia; naturalized in Hawaii. Fronds to 10 in. wide, with 3–11 pairs of divisions. Takes houseplant conditions well.
