x Graptoveria 'Fred Ives'
Crassulaceae
Cacti and succulents, Perennials
A big, beautiful, fast growing hybrid between Graptopetalumparaguayense and a large-growing Echeveria species. Forms spreading clumps of large rosettes, each about 8 in. high and nearly 1 ft. wide. The fleshy, oval, pointed leaves are bronzy pink. In summer, a slender, branched stem rises 1–2 ft. above the leaves to hold pale yellow flowers with orange centers and dotted petals. Durable, dependable, and very easy to grow. Great in containers. Plant in well-drained soil. Takes considerable shade, but color fades to blue-gray in low light. Easily propagated from stemcuttings.
