These hybrids combine the flowering habit of coral bells (Heuchera)with the heart-shaped leaves of foamflower (Tiarellacordifolia). Most produce foliage clumps 4–6 in. high and about 1 ft. wide; leaves are deeply lobed and up to 4 in. across. Late spring or summer blooms of pink or white are held on thin stalks 1–2 ft. high, creating acandlelike effect. Excellentchoice for shaded rock gardens or as woodland groundcover.
