Medium to large, with short but definite neck. Thin-skinned; yellow or slightly blushed. Verysweet and tender. Midseason.Standard summer pear of fruit markets. Good home variety, though tree does not have the best form and is susceptible to fireblight. Generally self-fruitful but may need a pollenizer in cool California coastal areasand the Northwest; use ‘Anjou’, ‘Bosc’, ‘Comice’, or ‘Moonglow’.
