SABAL

Slow-growing fan palms; some have trunks, some do not. Mature plants bear large clusters of tiny flowers among the leaves. Tolerate salt spray. All withstand 20°F/–7°C.

Sabal domingensis

Native to the Caribbean. Ultimately to 80 ft. or taller and 20 ft. wide, with fan-shaped, immense gray-green leaves to 9 ft. across.
