TRILLIUMBlooms in early spring; needs some winter chill. Each stem is topped with a whorl of three leaves; a single three-petaled flower appears in the center of the whorl (sometimes on a stalk, sometimes virtually stalkless). Plant in shady, woodsy site. Left undisturbed, plants will gradually increase by rhizomes. Dies to ground in mid- to late summer.
