Handsome foliage plant from Japan and Korea. Grows to 30 ft. tall and 25 ft. wide, with a horizontal branching pattern. Oval, 5-in.-long, glossy dark green leaves cluster near branch tips. In late spring, elongated (to 5 in.) clusters of 10 to 20 bright green flowers appear at branch ends. Each 3/4-in. blossom is made up of a flat disk surrounded by stamens. Blossoms are followed by fruits consisting of small pods clustered around the disk. Prefers organically enriched soil.
