White Forsythia, Abelia-Leaf
Korean native resembling forsythia in growth habit and abundance of mid to late winter blooms. To 3–4 ft. tall and wide, with bluish green 1–2 in. long leaves. Pink buds along deep brown or black branches open to very fragrant white blossoms.
After bloom, remove some of oldest branches at base to keep flowering wood coming. Or cut branches while in bud or bloom to use for decoration; budded branches can be forced to flower indoors.
This is a pink-flowering form.
